The Weekly Post 2011!
I love journaling. I hate blogging. No offense bloggers.
I ‘ve struggled because I love to write down my deepest thoughts and most profound insights in my journal. Call me old fashioned, but that’s just how my best and most sincere, real, raw writing flows.
But since my book came out last August, I’ve been told over and over and over that as an author, I need to “build my online platform.” I need to be putting my stuff out there to continue reaching my audience (women aged 18-35). If only I could send out my journals!
So, in an effort to heed this advice (no matter how much I want to resist it and stick to my private journaling ways), I am going to make a commitment to blog once a week for the rest of 2011. It will definitely be a challenge, but I hope that some of the deep, honest and inspiring thoughts and insights that come out of my private journaling sessions might transfer over here to the…what do you call it, ‘blog-o-sphere’? Gosh, I am out of the loop. So please help me get in it! LOL.
I’m promising to make use of The Weekly Post (through wordpress), and the community of other bloggers with similar goals, to help me along the way, including asking for help when I need it and encouraging others when I can. If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me with comments and likes, and some feedback along the way. What topics would you like me to blog more about? Let me know okay? Thank you!
